SEO for Dodo Socks Online Store: Increased Top-10 Queries from 49% to 68% in Less Than 1.5 Months

Dodo Socks: More Than Just Socks

Dodo Socks is best known for producing socks with fun and colorful designs. Before the full-scale war, the company operated in Rubizhne, Luhansk region, but has since focused its activities in Lviv. In addition to women’s, men’s, and children’s socks, Dodo Socks also produces:

  • underwear;
  • swimwear;
  • slippers;
  • board games;
  • designer scarves and hats.

The brand’s mission is to popularize Ukrainian products and contribute positively to society’s welfare.

Goals and Objectives of the Partnership with Dodo Socks

 

SEO work began in May 2025. Upon contacting us, the client sought to:

  • analyze and identify areas for growth;
  • fix technical issues;
  • increase non-branded query share.

Their main goal was to rank in the top results for new product categories: "Sports" (socks for running, trekking, and cycling), and "Underwear."

At the beginning of our work on the project, we observed a noticeable drop in organic traffic compared to 2024.

  • January 2025: traffic decreased by 5.0% compared to January 2024.
  • February 2025: traffic decreased by 33.2% compared to February 2024.
  • March 2025: traffic decreased by 13.9% compared to March 2024.
  • April 2025: traffic decreased by 28.2% compared to April 2024.

Our team set the following goals for the next 3-4 months

So:

  • +20% of queries in the Top-20;
  • +5-10% of queries in the Top-10;
  • +20% traffic within 3 months (+2-3K visits).

The primary traffic goal was to return to last year’s traffic levels.

For the next 8 months, we planned to achieve:

  • 80% of queries in the Top-20;
  • 65-70% of queries in the Top-10;
  • +40-50% traffic from the starting point (+5K visits).

The strategy to meet these goals involved optimizing existing pages and creating new optimized ones, along with expanding and structuring the website. Throughout this, the online store had to continue operating smoothly, ensuring no impact on optimization, speed, or page URLs.

What Was Done

After clearly defining the SEO objectives and agreeing on them with the client, our team immediately began working on SEO.

The SEO campaign included semantic core gathering and clustering, developing the initial anchor list, and creating technical specifications for:

  • fixing technical issues on the site;
  • initial optimization of the online store;
  • writing meta tags for product pages according to a prepared algorithm;
  • adding ratings to the snippet.

Due to restricted access to the site’s admin panel and code, the technical tasks were handled by the client. During implementation, we remained in constant contact, providing consultations and answering all questions.

In July, we began working on external SEO, including link building.

SEO Results

Most of the work was completed in the last week of May, and the results were quickly noticeable. While the site is still being indexed, initial achievements can already be observed.

After completing all tasks and implementing the changes, we checked the rankings and observed improvements for several queries.

Additionally, many queries that were not in the Top-100 started appearing in search results. For example, the query "tops from Ukrainian manufacturers" immediately ranked 1st in organic search.

When the project started, 49% of queries were in the Top-10, and after just over a month, this number increased to 68%.

We have also already seen some success in increasing organic traffic.

As of July, the main batch of optimization tasks had not yet been fully implemented, but we completed the first part of the planned tasks. The fact that we’ve already achieved some of the set goals is encouraging.
