Meta Ads for Villa Ozera hotel: 2.5x more inquiries in 3 months, with cost held steady despite rising competition

Meta Ads is one of the most effective tools for attracting guests to hotels and countryside resorts. That said, even campaigns already generating inquiries can often be made significantly more effective. In this case study, we share how a refreshed strategy, creative testing and smart scaling helped substantially increase the number of leads for Villa Ozera, without a meaningful rise in cost per lead.

Villa Ozera: a hotel for family and romantic getaways

This countryside mini-hotel is located in the village of Yelyzavetivka, about 40 km from Dnipro, near the Blakytni Ozera (Blue Lakes). Villa Ozera offers a peaceful, nature-focused escape, with 7 rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, a gazebo, and its own enclosed grounds.

Goals of the partnership

Before working with us, the client had already been running Meta Ads with a different agency but wanted to make the advertising more effective and reach a broader audience.

The project's main goals were:

  • increasing the number of qualified inquiries;
  • boosting ad performance by holding or lowering the cost per inquiry;
  • scaling the ads even as seasonal demand drove up auction costs.

For the client, it was important to have a partner who shared their vision for the hotel's positioning and stayed actively involved in its growth.

What we did on the project

Sprava Agency's specialists:

  • audited the previous ad campaigns;
  • refreshed the advertising strategy;
  • tested different offers, calls to action, visuals and ad formats;
  • included the starting room rate directly in the ad creatives to pre-qualify the audience;
  • optimized campaigns based on the data collected;
  • gradually scaled the ad budget while monitoring performance at every stage.

Throughout the process, we regularly reviewed results and turned off the weakest-performing ad sets.

The results achieved

From May 12 through July 16, we managed to:

  • increase inquiries by 2.5x. Conversations with potential guests grew from 210 to 524.
  • avoid a significant rise in cost per lead despite a 2.6x increase in ad budget and a 27% jump in average cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM). Even with the seasonal spike in ad auction prices, cost per inquiry only edged up slightly +4,7%.
  • boost CTR by 21%, climbing from 3.89% to 4.71% initially, then to 5.58% by July. This shows the new creatives resonated far more strongly with the target audience.

The best-performing ad across the entire campaign combined:

  • a special offer for military personnel, who make up a significant share of the audience in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
  • the starting room rate stated clearly;
  • a straightforward "Book Now" call to action.

This particular creative brought cost per lead down to a record-low level.

The client expected us to bring fresh ideas, initiative and recommendations, not just on the ad campaigns themselves, but on how to make advertising more effective overall and bring in more guests.

Throughout the project, we kept analyzing results and proposing new approaches. At the same time, we listened closely to what the client wanted and found solutions that combined her vision with our expertise. For example, we took her feedback on board about changing the main way users engaged with the ads, and shifted part of the campaigns to drive traffic to the page instead of Direct messages. That ongoing dialogue, willingness to experiment, and readiness to find middle ground let us increase bookings and build a solid foundation for the project's continued growth.

The biggest challenge was scaling the campaigns during a period of intense seasonal competition, when ad auction costs rose sharply.

As we increased the budget, we put the main focus on improving creative quality and testing different offers. That lets us increase inquiries 2.5x while keeping their cost nearly unchanged, despite tough market conditions.

Conclusion

The Villa Ozera case proves that success in targeted advertising doesn't come down to budget size alone. Comprehensive work on strategy, creatives, offers, and ongoing campaign optimization unlocks the full potential of this marketing tool, delivering better results without a disproportionate rise in ad spend.
